Look Up High

"Look Up High"
In our youth how we learn to look at everything and think about how they all affect us, instead of how we may affect them. How we look at the world wondering what it can do for us, instead of what we can do for it. As a President once said, "Don't ask what your Country can do for you, but what you can do for your Country". Then our eyes open on some unknown day of unfathomable glory when we accend far above the just here and now. It is then that we begin to understand that nothing has ever been about ourselves, but about everyone else. It is then that we grasp the truth that it has always been about our Creator and what He would have us do. And how better to help others up than those who have fallen the farthest. How those who have laid on the ground know that it is there where we all began our journey.
It is from the fallen places that remain in our memory, which enables us to see ourselves in every sad face. It is this heartfelt yearning to give the world what God has given us, which leads us to reach outward with compassion to all who will recieve us in His name. It is such an unending love that we experience that pushes us to embrace the sinner, while hating sin. It is the perfection we see through Christ Jesus that calls upon us to make this place a little better with us than without us. How Gods glory begins to shine the brighter and we begin to see the beauty that surrounds us on every side when we know that darkness cannot overtake the Light. And we are shown that evil will not have victory over goodness in the end. We begin looking upward more and more day by day because we know that this is where every answer awaits. A calm washes over us because we know that our true Father in heaven watches over us and He is in control even when everything around us seems to be a whirlwind of chaos. Even in the face of death we are taught that there is no greater gift to give than our very own life. And even in death we are assured that we shall surely live because God is for us and who then can be against us.
Peace and Love to you all,
Scott
