A Walk to Emmaus

We are all "Pilgrims" here on earth. Just as Christ temporarily dwelt among us, so we too reside only a short time here on earth when we place all the years we will live here next to an eternity in heaven. The question then becomes what we are to do with the little time God has given us, while we walk this earth. A picture came into this mind during the awe inspiring experience God had in store for me, with the help of my brother in Christ Hank and many others, this weekend. A picture of me with worn clothing and nothing to offer anyone of materials, but of the Message of Peace from God. A lonely Pilgrim who everyone would see as a poor, humble human being with nothing to give, until they came close enough to see and feel the love that was reaching outward to each of them. A picture of a single human being, a pilgrim, placing his arm around someone clothed in fine linen and wrapped in worldly wealth, but still walking in hopelessness. An image of a pilgrim offering Gods love to someone who has become lost in the darkness. A lost soul who now strips away all the outward appearances in exchange for some worn clothing of his own, which also comes with the Joy that only God Himself can bestow upon him who believes in Jesus Christ. And this is the "Walk to Emmaus". It is a pilgrim placing his arm around another, so they may begin their pilgrimage also for this is where Life begins. De Colores for so must all love be of every bright color to make our hearts cry. What can we say, but Jesus, Jesus can I tell you how I feel? You have given us Your Spirit and we love You so.
All that can be written is about the Holy Spirit filling the hearts of Gods faithful and kindling in them the fire of His love. It is this fire that gives true unity between believers as brothers and sisters in Christ. It is this fire that pushes each of us onward when all else appears to be futility and a chasing after the wind. It is the gift of God within each of us that is His Holy Spirit who resides deep inside our hearts that will forever show the Way. A time like I have just spent this weekend rekindles the fire that has been there since our rebirth and reminds us that we need to continuously seek out all that fuels this fire, so that it will never subside, but only grow stronger with time. Life is Jesus Christ and growing more Christ-like in character throughout the time we are given on this earth is our purpose. God has called me by name from among His people to be a guide for all mankind. It is the calling of complete servicehood to God and His people, it is the calling of complete offering of oneself for others welfare, it is the calling to His Ministry for His glory. Not all will be called for this purpose, but every one of us are called to exchange our talents for gifts. We are called to give everything God has made us for His glory. We are all called to tend to eachother as a member of the Body of Christ. We are no longer our own, but a part of something far greater than ourselves. We are a part of Gods body, which is one miraculous work fashioned by Gods own will. This one body is Gods creation and it is as large and unending as eternity itself. It is through the union of believers that Gods true purpose for all of mankind is revealed and displayed atop the tallest mountaintops for all the world to clearly see. And it is this sight that draws all of Gods children to Himself in unending splendor.
